Jesus Christ, Noah Shaw’s character is so perfect okay let me tell you. He’s like Tony Stark and shit and he’s a sarcastic little fuck and he is so infuriating and amazing and he repels and draws you in at the same time and it’s like you know he’s totally dangerous. Bad news. But you fall for him anyway and he has a reputation of being the biggest playboy ever but he’s charming and his English accent makes him forgivable and it’s like you can like him from afar until you get to know him and you realize he’s fucking ALIVE. He’s REAL. And his worst fear is feeling empty forever. And he hides it behind a smirk and witty comebacks and charming sarcasm but then you see scenes like THIS. And he’s so open and determined and you can actually pinpoint the exact moment where he FILLS UP. He’s not as empty as he was before and it’s all because of this girl he meets whose voice he’s only heard in his dreams. This isn’t some girl who he’ll shag and forget. And she feels so broken. He’s so set on making her see that she’s not broken, because he KNOWS she isn’t broken. He wants to see her feel whole again and he’s allowing his empty heart to fill up. And Christ, he’s scared. No doubt about it. He’s fucking terrified letting her in. He’s confused. But suddenly his life has become in tuned with hers and he’s feeling things and he just doesn’t understand why but he knows he’d do anything for her. This girl. A girl he’s only known for what? A week? A girl who curses at him and is clever and isn’t vapid. And he wants to know her. He wants to know who she is. He wants to figure her out. He knows who he is. He thinks he’s a selfish bastard but God knows he will help this girl. And maybe she’ll end up helping him in return. It’s so god damn cheesy but wow no wonder people love stories like this because there’s always two people who are broken in their own ways and end up fixing themselves with the help of another person. It’s not “wait for someone to fix you”. You had the capability to fix yourself. You just needed someone to show you that you could do it.
